Happy Friday! 

I told you guys, I am obsessed with these super soft waffle shirts for fall! Yesterday I showed you how to style Page 6 Boutique's black and white version of this top and today we turn our attention to a casual approach available at Fabrik Birkdale.

You know, I am lucky enough to work with boutiques throughout our beautiful Carolina's and it is my pleasure to give you options up North and down South! 

Opposite to the classically printed sleeve on Page 6's top, Fabrik Birkdale's version felt more boho chic to me. Thus, I let the shirt speak for itself. 

I paired this vibrant edition of the top with a frayed ankle cropped pair of Hudson jeans (also available at Fabrik Birkdale) and these ridiculously adorable cream flats. These mules are a great addition to your fall wardrobe and certainly won't break the bank!

Happy Birthday Fabrik Birkdale!

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are having a fantastic week and with the weekend right around the corner, it's time to start planning those date night looks that are sure to capture your boo's attention!

I wanted to share this maritime denim outfit with all of you. The nautical striped dress is from Express's summer line and the Kendra Scott earrings, Jimmy Choo shoes and Kate Spade clutch add a pop of color to this summer stunner! 

I felt like the purse was a nice way to honor the late Kate Spade this week and it is just a chilling reminder that depression does not discriminate. 

I've also paired this look with one of my all time favorite denim jackets. This one is from Fabrik Birkdale and I'm obsessed with the girliness of the ruffle on the sleeve.

NYC > Adulting

Ugh, adulting is the WORST! I have been stressed out all week because my car lease is up! Don't get me wrong I love my Ford Edge but I am at a crossroads in my life. If you listen to our radio show then you know (at some point - for a very brief moment) I was considering a minivan. 

Yuck! #Momlife. Now I know many people have and love their minivans but it's just not for me. 

Thus, in the wake of having my minivan meltdown, I somehow convinced myself the opposite side of the spectrum would be fun. A four-door Jeep Wrangler?

Here is my issue. I know Dallas and I want another baby in the next few years. I also know that a Jeep probably isn't the most practical vehicle for a newborn, but if we were EVER going to do it, now would be the time. Cash is old enough to sit in a big boy car seat and loves to be up high.... but baby number 2 is still in the back of my mind. You can see my struggle, right?   

I know what I should do is forget the whole thing and go get myself a nice practical Ford Explorer with three rows and call it a day but that White Jeep is calling my name. 

I went to look at both the Explorer and the Wrangler this week and the decision-making process is giving me a headache. Pass the wine, please. 

Can we just not adult for like 3 minutes and pretend we're back in NYC where the hardest choice I had to make was if I wanted a Dirty Martini or a Vodka Soda at dinner? Speaking of NYC how adorable is this little embroidered dress from Fabrik Birkdale? It's perfect for any time of year. 

I styled this look for spring transition with a pair of over the knee boots but you could pair it with wedges for the summer or rock the boots and a jacket for fall/winter.

Sip & Style Prep

Clothes aren’t going to change the world, the women who wear them will! Remember that as you’re getting dressed for your day tomorrow!

Hopefully, your Friday plans include shopping with me at Fab’rik Birkdale in Huntersville tomorrow night. I am hosting my first Sip & Style Event, and of course, I am over the moon about this “Meet The Blogger” evening. Not only because I get to meet all of you but because I love Fab’rik's fashion and wine… equally! I know you probably see my posts every week about what I am wearing from Fab’rik and I love their line because it is so trendy and affordable! 

Tomorrow evening from 6-7pm I will be offering complimentary one-on-one styling sessions at Fab'rik's Birkdale location and we are sure in for a treat because a ton of new Spring transition pieces have just been released. I can’t wait to show you them and do a little shopping myself. 

I am headed to New York Fashion Week February 9-11 to cover NYFW for the first time as a blogger. Thus we can find the perfect outfits together! 

I have been to NYFW many times before as my sister in law is a stylist in NYC, but attending in this capacity adds a whole other level of excitement and I am in full-blown planning mode! Next week will be crazy, finishing up last minute details and packing cute outfits like this one. 

These are my all-time favorite Stuart Weitzman boots and they are on crazy sale! They are definitely an investment piece but if there was ever a time to buy them, this is it, because they are 40% off! I am loving this new Free People, keyhole turtleneck as well! It's perfect for a spring look even though it's not quite warm enough yet for skirts and sandals.

Great Grays

I said it yesterday during my #TryOnTuesday session at Fab'rik Birkdale, "Winter is here for the long haul".

It's 30 degrees outside and much of the United States is in a "deep freeze". I mean for God sakes, it snowed in Jacksonville, Florida today! Break out the cute long sleeves and coats because we are in the heart of sweater weather.

I found an adorable gray off the shoulder sweater yesterday at Fab'rik (which you can still see on the highlights in my Instagram stories) and it made me think about how grays are the perfect neutral for this time of year.

I've put together some great simple sweaters that will go with anything in your wardrobe below. They are easy to wear and will look great with a pair of jeans, booties or over the knee boots. It's all about styling, styling, styling! 

I field a lot of questions from you guys about how to style an outfit and if you ever get into a bind please email me! I have been around fashion, design, and stylist my entire life and it is the heart of why I started my blog. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE RADIO and I'm not going anywhere, I just missed my roots.

Unfortunately, the faux snakeskin clutch is no longer available however I've found some great replacement pieces and ordered another one myself. You can never have enough snakeskin!

The Asher Collection At fab'rik Birkdale

 What do the names Isaac, Eva, Zuri and Asher mean to you? Right now, probably nothing but I hope you feel differently after shopping this specific blog.

This beautiful line was born when the CEO's dream of adopting a baby came true. Imagine waiting to meet your future son or daughter, and getting a call that a little face has been abandon. As a mom, it breaks and melts my heart at the same time. 

After meeting their new daughter Asher and helping her adjust to her new loving home, this talented CEO was inspired to help other children find their second chance too. 

She named the line after her daughter and set out to create a collection that would make any woman feel powerful and beautiful while a portion of the proceeds would go to helping the hundreds of babies abandoned each month in Africa. 

Now you might think, "That's great, but how can I get involved?" Well, it's easy. All you have to do is shop. 

fab'rik Birkdale is a proud carrier of this philanthropic line. Each piece from the collection is named after one of the children they help. In this blog, you will see featured looks like the Franklin dress paired with the Joseph jacket. Joseph and his brother were abandoned in a marketplace in Kenya. 

You will also see the Morgan dress and the Eva duster. Eva was the size of a newborn when she was found at nine months old. She suffered from malnutrition but with the help from this line she is receiving the treatment she needs and will hopefully be adopted one day soon.
