Mommy and Me Plaid

-

Okay, hang tight! I know it was cold this morning but it's warming up the rest of the week. Today is good snuggling weather though.

Cash and I needed some Mommy and Me time today, since yesterday's haircut didn't go so well. The cut it's self looks great but Cash absolutely HATES getting his hair cut. I think it's the noise of the clippers.

Anyhow, we needed to get out and about today to make up for the trama from yesterday and Cashton looks too cute not to share this outfit!

LauRen: White long sleeve, Fall Picnic Plaid Vest, AG Jeans from Banana Republic, Tory Burch Sofia Riding Boots, and Rayne gold long necklace in red from Kendra Scott.

Cash: Genuine Kids grey sweater layered with plaid collar, Lucky Brand Kids jeans, blue baby TOMS.

The "LauRen" Jumpsuit

-

How adorable is this jumpsuit from Page 6? Now I'm a little partial since we're calling it the LauRen jumpsuit” but it is seriously adorable either way!

I’m not sure if I’m more in love with the color combination or where it hits on my body because both are perfect! I have a long torso and I had a baby one year ago so finding jumpers that fit properly is always a struggle for me. This one gets an A+!

Jumpers are a great staple in any wardrobe and this one can go from business to vacation! If you love it as much as I do use the code LauRen20 when you order it for a discount!

Here Kitty Kitty!

-

It was Tuesday when I realized I had a Halloween concert to host this weekend. I had no costume and no idea what I was going to be, but after scrolling through Instagram I found some amazing makeup ideas. So, I decided to be real basic and go as a sexy cat! However, this kitty was going to be anything but basic.

I found Ashley Hamm on Insta, and she specializes in elaborate face and body makeup that is to die for. Ashley took my simple cat idea and made it a glittery masterpiece.

This costume was easy enough to put together. I grabbed ears, a tail, and gloves from Morris's Costume then hit up one of my favorite boutiques for the rest. How adorable are the romper and white shag jacket?

For my accessories, I went with a pair of Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots and a sparkly clutch I picked up at Nordstrom Rack.

Fri-Yay!

Happy Fri-Yay!

Here's to the end of a busy week! I know I'm not the only one ready to celebrate the weekend. As I stood in line for my Starbucks this morning I took a good look around and it was apparent that my line neighbors were ready to party too.

Even though I have a HUGE weekend of work in front of me, I am really looking forward to hosting Grave Digger's Ball this weekend. Tomorrow I will be running all over the place putting the finishing touches on my costume for the concert.

The Grave Digger's Ball is a big tradition in Charlotte. It is a halloween concert that everybody and their mother's dress up for. I can't wait to share my outfit with you tomorrow, but for now today's threads will have to do!

LauRen: Fri-Yay layered sweat shirt, black distressed stretch denim jeans, blush Chinese Laundry peep toe booties by Kristin Cavallari , blush velvet clutch with fringe earrings.

Pumpkin Picking

-

Off to the pumpkin patch we go!

It has been a crazy busy week, full of meetings and photoshoots but we managed to put aside some time for our family. I told you guys last weekend that I needed to get Cash to the pumpkin patch ASAP and today was the day! It was Cashton's first time picking pumpkins and he was all in. So much so that Mom and Dad didn't even exist. He couldn't care less about photos. All he wanted to do was roll and eat pumpkins!

After some persuasion with puffs and Sophie the giraffe, I managed to snap a few pictures to share. I have to be honest, it's a little harder to dress Cash these days because he is wearing an 18 month top but he's still in 12 month pants...and he HATES shoes!

LauRen: Tommy Bahama layered sweat shirt, Just Black high waisted jeans, Adidas Superstar sneakers, and Kendra Scott hot pink earrings.

Dallas: Blue plaid Kenneth Cole button down, Banana Republic Trooper Light Indigo boot cut jeans, and John Varvatos boots.

Cashton: Seven For All Of Mankind denim button down, Cat and Jack khaki joggers, with navy and black Vans.

Fall Floral

-

It's my favorite kind of night. GIRLS NIGHT! If you know me you know I am a girls, girl and that I live to catch up with my friends.

This past weekend I missed a dear friends baby shower after almost passing out from dehydration. However after some Pedialyte and TLC I was back on the mend and ready to take on the week!

Even though I missed the shower I wasn't ready to give up on celebrating our little momma to be, so I gathered the girls for a trip up to 131 Main in Concord. Thus a much needed girls night, needed a fun fall look and I wanted to share it with all of you!

LauRen: Show Me Your Mumu floral tunic, black stretch denim from Blank NYC, black peep toed BCBG Generation booties, Louis Vuitton Alma PM

Rain Rain Go Away!

-

Ugh! This RAIN!

I have been running around all day for meetings about some dynamic collaborations, so stay tuned! Very exciting stuff, but not so exciting trying to run through sheets of rain and still attempting to stay cute.

Sounds like a challenge, right? Well throw me some cute rain boots and I will build an outfit around it! Luckily, we saw a little break in the monsoon and I was able to run outside and snap a picture of this ensemble to share with you!

LauRen: Black Piko with tan/black cardigan trench from Fabrik, premium denim skinnies jeans from Banana Republic, black Fabulina necklace, Coach rain boots, and Celine Micro tricolor luggage tote.

Finally! Fall Weather!

-

Do you feel that? Fall is finally here! And yes, I am the girl that changes out her summer threads for fall duds at the first fallen leave! Break out the boots and oversized sweaters!

If you haven't noticed by now my style is casual chic. Don't get me wrong I LOVE to dress up but when you get up at 3:45am for work cute casual is the name of the game.

I always look for outfits that can go from the radio station to banging around town with Cash. Here is one of the looks we love for fall.

LauRen: BP oversized sweater with cutouts, Express denim - legging high rise - dark wash, neutral two tone woven hat, closed toes tan fridge Qupid booties and jewelry from Kendra Scott.

Cashton: Lucky Brand denim - kids, burgundy long sleeve by Tucker & Tate and the Lenny sneaker by TOMS.

Black and White Sunday

-

Happy Sunday!

I can't believe Halloween is next week! I have got to get Cash to the pumpkin patch! As a quick fix though I ran to Trader Joe's and picked up a few little pumpkins to get us by for now. I don't want my neighbors thinking I'm a bad Mom.

To run around today, Cash and I went with classic black and white, however we put our own fun twist on it to give it a casual feel. I have to say I LOVED Cash's outfit today and I ordered it online when he was a newborn, and he's just growing into it! It had a cute little beanie too but he wouldn't keep it on. #fail.

LauRen: Black studded sweatshirt by Ollie and Chloe, distressed denim platinum by Flying Monkey, Superstar sneaker by Adidas , and Tiffany & Co dog tag.

Cashton: Black and white two piece set with stripes and triangles, Nike Lunar Apparent sneakers.
