4 For Fashion : Scout and Molly's

-

Happy Friday's Eve! We are counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until the clock strikes 5:00pm tomorrow afternoon!

We're also looking ahead to your weekend wardrobe! This week "4 For Fashion" is checking out Scout and Molly's in the Specialty Shops at South Park.

If you're new to the blog, let me explain what 4 For Fashion is. We are a group of local fashion bloggers that believe you can be stylish at any age! Each one of us caps an age bracket in our 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's. We are all different ages and have very different styles and that is the beauty of what we do.

This week at Scout and Molly's we were all able to find looks that we loved. They had a ton to choose from and their accessories are gorgeous! You may notice as you explore this post, that all four of us fell in love with Scout and Molly's South American handmade bags. Each one is even more beautiful and unique than the next!

Scout and Molly's also had a great selection of casual and dressy trends that range from summer style to fall transition.

Let's kick things off with Rachel's look from Queen City Chic! Rachel is in her 20's and her boho chic style never goes unnoticed. I love the casual statement she made while styling this look. Her bucket bag is the center of this ensemble and she chose bold neutrals to accent and revolve around this handmade purse.

My outfit today is representative of the 30 something stylish mom on the go. I chose this look because, as a young mom myself I don't want to lose my identity or give up my passion for fashion after having a child. These modern cargo shorts and fringe textured top still allow me to run after my 2-year-old while looking smart and sophisticated. However, the real show stopper of this look are the accessories! The earrings, necklace, and cuff all accent this clean casual suit perfectly.

Laura from Smart Southern Style is up next for the 40's crowd. I always love Laura's styling because she really knows how to add a pop of color to take an outfit to the next level. Case and point! Laura found these perfectly tailored jeans at Scout and Molly's and pair them with this vertical striped linen blue top. Now let's talk about that pink! Of course, I love the blue tassel necklace she chose as well but those shoes and that pom pom on her handmade bag is everything!

Last and certainly not least is Barbi from Southern Blonde Chic. Barbi is looking lovely in this gorgeous hot pink maxi and turquoise earrings. I love the flow of this dress and the shape it gives with its empire waistline. This dress is perfect for a date night or wedding reception. Barb knocked it out of the park by completing this look with a neon Aztec clutch that is to die for!

As you can see, Scout and Molly's has something for everyone. Whether you are looking for work out or night out, this chic boutique has looks for all ages and any occasion. You can find them at the Specialty Shops at South Park across from the South Park Mall, on Instagram or online.

A special thank you to Scout and Molly's for hosting us and to Say Cheese CLT for capturing out beautiful lookbook this week!

4 For Fashion : Lizard Thicket Boutique

-

Barbi - Southern Blonde Chic
Rachel - Queen City Chic
Laura - Smart Southern Style

Happy Thursday friends!

I am so excited to finally share a project that I have been working on with some pretty stylish people. I have partnered with 3 very talented bloggers from around Charlotte to create a bloggers group that will cover 4 different age brackets.

The four of us are all in different phases of our lives and have unique styles. We will be partnering with local boutiques around the Queen City to feature fashion for all ages. The four of us cover your 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's!

Thus, I am proud to introduce, "4 for Fashion"!

The first boutique we urge you to learn more about is Lizard Thicket in Blakney! Fun name, fabulous clothing! With the weather here in Charlotte changing it's important to find looks that will transition with your wardrobe.

Meet Rachel aka "Queen City Chic"! Rachel is in her 20's and has a laid-back style that is a bit hipster with a feminine twist. She is obsessed with sneakers but traded in her kicks today for a pair of wedges and this adorable blush lemon skirt, black crop top and denim jacket from Lizard Thicket. She is originally from Charlotte and is a foodie at heart. Stay tuned for her blog to launch later this month.

I, of course, will be representing the 30 somethings with my "All Of The F-Words" blog. By now you know that I have a pretty eclectic style and love everything from boho chic to business attire. I am mindful of what I spend but can appreciate a splurge item too. Today, however, there is no need to break the bank. I am loving this black floral blouse and jean shorts from Lizard Thicket. I've paired this look with a strappy bralette and a woven bag also available at the Blakney location.

Laura is up next from "Smart Southern Style"! Laura has lived here in Charlotte for 20 plus years and knows affordable southern fashion like no other. She is in her 40's and if a busy Mom of two beautiful girls and a businesswoman on the move. She has an amazing casual feel that features everything from jeans and tees to classic southern sundresses, so it's no doubt she is looking lovely in this black dress with embordered flowers from Lizard Thicket!

Our final piece to the puzzle and mastermind behind this whole project is Barbi from "Southern Blonde Chic". Barbi is 50 and fabulous! She is a positive, energetic and stylish blogger that shares her favorite looks and beauty products! I love that Barbi styled this look with multiple patterns. It shows that no matter your age you can still be on trend and age appropriate. The black and white looks great with her blonde locks and the contrast of stripes and floral is so chic!

As you can see fashion comes in all personalities and styles which is why we are so excited to be working together to feature looks that will work for everyone! Of course, if you have any questions about these looks or have an idea for a collaboration feel free to email me. I am so proud to be working with such talented and creative women in the field of fashion and we hope you will check out Lizard Thicket in Blakney for more stylish looks this Spring!

Finally! Fall Weather!

-

Do you feel that? Fall is finally here! And yes, I am the girl that changes out her summer threads for fall duds at the first fallen leave! Break out the boots and oversized sweaters!

If you haven't noticed by now my style is casual chic. Don't get me wrong I LOVE to dress up but when you get up at 3:45am for work cute casual is the name of the game.

I always look for outfits that can go from the radio station to banging around town with Cash. Here is one of the looks we love for fall.

LauRen: BP oversized sweater with cutouts, Express denim - legging high rise - dark wash, neutral two tone woven hat, closed toes tan fridge Qupid booties and jewelry from Kendra Scott.

Cashton: Lucky Brand denim - kids, burgundy long sleeve by Tucker & Tate and the Lenny sneaker by TOMS.

Vacation OOTD

-
As most of you know I do a morning radio show here in Charlotte, North Carolina and we are currently being featured on the television show, My Big Fat Fabulous Life on TLC. Well Maney and Roy, my counter parts, got asked to LA to film this season’s reunion show and since I was on materitey leave for most of this season I got left behind.
No worries! Here is something you will learn about me… I LOVE TO TRAVEL and given the day off, nine times out of ten I will be on the road. So, since our show had off this past Friday for filming… I was off to Florida!
I wanted to share with you one of my favorite vacation outfits from the weekend! It was Fashion Friday and I was feeling this little number!
Do+Be white off the shoulder top from KLa Boutique
Peach layered choker from Kla Boutique
Distressed blue jean shorts from H&M
Beaded geometric beach clutch from Laraethnics Boutique in Santorini Greece

Concert Threads

-

If you listen to our show then you know I’m the planner. I am constantly looking ahead in my calendar and when I popped my head in there this week, I noticed that KISSMAS is coming up fast!
Yes! December 13. Spectrum Center. Shawn Mendes … DNCE … Alessia Cara… Hailee Steinfeld… Charli XCX… Jojo … and of course all of you! So this Fashion Friday, let’s find (and inspire) the perfect outfit for the concert goers all around the Queen City!
This week it is all about faux luxe ! Looking GREAT and “killing it” without… killing it. This season we’ve seen a ton of use with textures and jewel tone colors, so I want to play with faux fur textures to soften a streamline look. Perfect for anything from a casual party to a night on the town. It’s luxe without being over the top!
I found this weeks look at Page 6 Boutique in Baxter Village with the help of their amazing stylist!
Let’s start with a gorgeous faux leather legging that will give our outfit an edge by Ellison. $44.99
Now let’s add the color of the season… Olive! Autumn Wishes Criss Cross Blouse. $39.99
Here’s my favorite part…pair with a soft cream vest to make this look “sweet and spicy”! Laney Faux Fur Vest by C.luce. $79
And of course we have to rock some accessories to have a complete look from head to toe!
This Eliana Beaded Choker Necklace has all the right colors to pop on this style! $22.50
Polish off with a metallic foil clutch by Hobo Lauren ($128) and a black fringe bootie by Matisse Arlo ($79.99) and you’re ready for meet and greet!
To get this look and more you can shop Page 6 at their Baxter or Rock Hill locations or online at ShopPage6.com. You can also follow them on Instagram for even more looks to inspire your wardrobe @Page6Boutique and don’t forget to use the hashtag #WhatLauRenLikes!

Post Baby Fashion

-

Okay now that I’ve had this baby, let’s get down to business! I am SO excited to be back in my normal style/clothes and with the holidays about to be at the forefront of our social schedules now is the time to make a statement!
Turkey day is the official kick off to the holiday season so having the perfect outfit is a must! I’m sure you’ve been scouring for the perfect outfit that’s not to dressy yet not too casual for Thanksgiving.
We’ve seen lots of playful trends this fall, from velvet and other rich textures to daring prints and mix and match fabrics.
This Fashion Friday was inspired by just that… TEXTURE!!!! Velvet, leather and suede …Oh my ! This week I set out to find the perfect outfit to wear to any friends-giving or traditional family gathering.
I was looking for something with a little rock & roll spin that you could take from day to night! Have dinner with the fam, then meet the girls for drinks! Here’s what I love this week from Lipp Boutique…
– “Nude” Velvet Cami Dress in Olive $78
– “Biker Babe” Jacket in Black $99
And of course no outfit is complete without the perfect accessories…
– “Vanessa 361” Rust Suede Fringe Shoulder Bag by JJ Winters
– Leather Rope Necklace in Black by JJ Winters $44

Pregnancy OOTD

-

Fall is my favorite time of year, and I can attribute that to a few things, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, the changing leaves and of course FALL FASHION! As the weather takes a chilly turn, we turn up for cozy aubergine (eggplant colored) sweaters, layers and fun leggings!  That’s why I am teaming up with Lipp Boutique for Fashion Fridays!
We are fresh off of Paris and New York Fashion Weeks so what can we expect to be rocking this fall? Well here are some staples you will need for your closet as we head into the most fashionable time of the year!
As you know, I am about to pop out a baby ANY DAY NOW! (Hint hint Baby Strager… Eviction notice is coming) So I have solicited the help of a friend to model my 1st “MUST HAVE” look for fall:
– Everyone should have a GREAT jean in their closet so we went with a “Hudson Distressed Skinny”, that can be mixed and matched with virtually any outfit! ($205)
– For a vibrant pattern pop we chose the “Vivian Keyhole Tank” ($62)
– And of course every great fall style needs some layering! So, since suede is the new black this season we paired this look with a cool “Faux Suede Khaki Blazer” ($69)
– To complete this outfit, we chose a great neutral heel!
Anddd just because I am 9.5 months pregnant doesn’t mean I can’t join in on the Fashion Fun! Being preggers doesn’t mean you have to conform to moo moos and unflattering maternity looks. I was able to shop this adorably stylish look from Lipp too!
– Oversized Burgundy Poncho ($66)
– Stretchy Snake Skin Print Leggings ($66)
–  JJ Winters “Made With Love” Metallic Platinum Clutch ($308)
– Milo + Fin Single Antler Necklace ($108) Which is made locally!
To get any of these trendy looks and more, you can visit Lipp Boutique in The Metropolitan at 1111 Metropolitan Ave Suite 160.  You can also follow them on Instagram @lippboutique.
