Be A Boss Not A B*tch

-

Let me just start with a great quote. "You can always tell who the strong women are. They are the ones building each other up instead of tearing each other down". Plain and simple if you are the malicious type, I have NO USE FOR YOU!

It truly makes me sick that there are women in business that try to take others down when in reality working together would have been MUCH more beneficial. I have been dealing with a lot of negativity in my life lately and it has been stifling. To have anxiety about simple daily tasks is ridiculous. If you are someone who finds yourself avoiding people in the hallways or hiding in your office, that is no way to live.

You don't have to roll over for those people anymore. My advice to a woman giving another woman a hard time is to "be a boss, not a b*tch." If you are currently medaling in someone else's life take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself what it is about that person that aggravates your demons? Are you jealous? Are you longing for something they have? Or is there something going on in your personal life that you are projecting onto them? Either way, it's time for some self-reflection and prayers.

Bottom line, handle YOUR business and don't be green with envy when others can handle theirs. Brush up on your skills and be the boss you were born to be because respect is earned not given.

While some of you reflect on those words of wisdom enjoy this boss babe look. White blazers for summer are all the rage and these wide leg cropped business pants are a perfect pair. Believe it or not, you can find these trousers everywhere from Macy's to Dicks Sporting Goods.

I scored these Zara earrings in the airport flying back from Italy and matched this look with my favorite heels and Celine bag!

I Guess We Have To Adult Today?

-

Ugh, it's Monday morning?!? Do we really have to adult today? The answer is unfortunately yes.

Luckily I am counting down the days until our show is on Christmas vacation. T-4 days! This is officially my last working Monday of 2017! Yippee!

So to celebrate I wanted to share this whole look with you. There is one thing specifically I love about this outfit. Of course, the dress itself is right on trend but the price of this adorable cold shoulder sweater dress is what is so unbelievable!

It's on clearance for $15!!!!

It's from Target and is a real showstopper. I will say this though, the dress does run a little big, so I would go down a size. I typically wear a small and I have on an XS here.

This dress would be perfect to go from a day at the office to a date night with the hubby.

Speaking of date night if you haven't seen MAC's new Snow Ball eye and lip kits for this holiday season, I have them on in this look as well! Great colors at a great price point. I have a whole blog dedicated to the kits on the "Face" tab of my blog, but I have also linked out to them below as well!

There are six different eyeshadows and three amazing lip shades per kit. Great stocking stuffers, but I know you will love them too!

Distressed Like My Jeans

-

Oh it's been one hell of a week! Cash has been in full blown boogie monster mode, literally and figuratively. This poor kid couldn't sleep unless he was sitting straight up, so I slept in his glider with him all night. Eight hours of hell.

He was cranky because he couldn't sleep comfortably and I took hands and feet to the face all night long, but hey thats what Mom's do.

Anyway, I am happy to report Cash is FINALLY feeling a little better. We even got out of the house for a little today, after being under quarantine since Wednesday night.

To celebrate being out of my pajamas I wanted to share this cool casual Sunday Funday look with all of you! Not that we had a full blown day of fun but was a vas improvement from last week!

I love how easy this outfit was to put together! I ordered a ton of jeans from Express last week when they had their big denim sale and I am pretty obsessed with these black mid-rise distressed denim leggings. They are so soft!

I also threw on my Adidas kicks, foiled tee, and an acid washed denim jacket and I was ready for our walk. Bonus points if your like me and you like to add a brooch to your jackets. Casual or dressy, it just adds a bit of polish to any look.

Here's to being on the mend!

Rain Rain Go Away!

-

Ugh! This RAIN!

I have been running around all day for meetings about some dynamic collaborations, so stay tuned! Very exciting stuff, but not so exciting trying to run through sheets of rain and still attempting to stay cute.

Sounds like a challenge, right? Well throw me some cute rain boots and I will build an outfit around it! Luckily, we saw a little break in the monsoon and I was able to run outside and snap a picture of this ensemble to share with you!

LauRen: Black Piko with tan/black cardigan trench from Fabrik, premium denim skinnies jeans from Banana Republic, black Fabulina necklace, Coach rain boots, and Celine Micro tricolor luggage tote.
