Festival Fashion

-

Even though Coachella is behind us, it is only the start of festival season! Cue braided headbands and fringe bags!

Going to Coachella is one thing that has always been on my bucket list. Maybe one day this festival won't creep up on me and I'll make the trek to Coachella Valley for some of the best parties around! (Sigh) One day I'll get there!

This is my favorite time of year. I am fairly certain I was a free spirit in another life because if it was socially acceptable to dress like this every day, I would!

There is something about this two-tone denim skirt and tied up white tee shirt from Fabrik Birkdale that makes me wanna grab a beer and pony up on the lawn for a summer concert. I went with a cold shoulder tee to give this look some flare and paired it with traditional gladiator sandals and a fringe bag from Guess.

Unfortunately, the bag and sandals are from last season but I did find some awesome new replacement pieces to share with you that are comparable in style and price.

Let's be honest though, even if you're not headed to Coachella or Hangout Festival this is still a pretty cute weekend look!

Back On The Wagon!

-

Vacation is over. Time to get back on the meal prep and fitness wagon!

After a week of Spring Break in Florida, void of workouts and healthy home cooked meals, it is back to reality! Dallas and I are usually pretty good about meal prepping for the week but on vacation, you are a victim of sodium-filled foods when you eat out.

Being 33 years old and having a baby has completely changed my body. When I was in my 20's I could diet for 2 weeks, do moderate workouts, and lose 10 pounds like that! Now, that is not even remotely the case.

Recently I've had to add an extra element to my weekly routine. Juicing has been something extremely beneficial to my body. I will occasionally do a "juice cleanse" but my normal week consists of ordering juices on Monday and having one per day all week.

As far as my workouts go ... I have to be honest. I am not a pillar of religious athletics and with a toddler, I'm lucky to get a load of laundry done some days! If I actually make it to a workout it's a BIG day for me, but I can swing it maybe 3 times a week. I am not a cross fitter and I probably don't do cardio as often as I should, but I know my body and I know what I enjoy.

News flash! If you don't enjoy it, you won't keep up with it!

I personally love hot yoga! I have a studio I love and they have a class schedule that fits my lifestyle! So, it's a match made in heaven!

One thing I'm not a fan of is running. I will do it because I know I need to, but it's not something that I can do every day. So sometimes I will opt to take a spinning class instead.

Of course, while I get my sweat on, I love to do it in style. Here's a cute look that I frequently wear while doing my cardio.

Palm Fronds in Paradise

-

If you are looking for the perfect swimsuit this summer, the sexy one-piece is the way to go!

I found this adorable one-piece suit at Red Dress Boutique and it was perfect for a South Florida vacation! Very Palm Beach Darling!

While this suit doesn't offer a ton of support for the girls, it is great for a smaller busted woman like myself. I also have a longer torso and I was fine with my normal small size.

After having a baby I typically rely on a one-piece suit to hide some lingering baby weight and this suit gave me coverage in all the right places! It also features a cute criss-cross back.

As you know palm print is going to be huge this summer and this pattern adds a fun twist to the typically solid one-piece suit.

"Dream Often" ... Of Vacation!

-

Beach life is the best life!

This morning was a dream! I finally woke up to the perfect stand up paddleboarding weather! If you know me, you know I am obsessed with the sport. I even bought myself two stand up paddleboards for my moms condo in Fort Lauderdale.

Sure I could have just bought one but I love sharing the experiance with someone! About 500 yards off the beach from our condo is a beautiful reef where you just might catch a glimps of a stingray or baracunda out there!

I know, sounds scary but it really is the most beautiful thing you will ever see, especially at sunrise.

After my paddleboard this morning Mom and I headed to the Avenue for breakfast on the sand at our favorite little Italian cafe!

I wanted to share with you this comfy beach look from Fabrik Birkdale! These pants are easy to wear and the slits keep you cool in the hot sun! A must have for vacay in my opinion.

Vacation Threads

-

Hola, from South Florida! You guys know I love sharing my vacation threads with you when I'm out of town!

All week I have been featuring some of my favorite beach looks of the year. These two outfits are by Red Dress Boutique and they were perfect for the warm sunny weather in Florida! If you are planning a getaway (or as soon as this weather gets warmer) these looks are perfect to lounge around in or dress up for date night!

In fact, my mom watched Cashton for Dallas and I, while we had a little date night of our own. This gorgeous palm maxi was my "go to" for dinner at Truluck's in our old stomping grounds. Monday nights (during season) Truluck's has all you can eat Stone Crabs on special and let's just say we got our money's worth!

The beautiful blue floral romper was for our casual "Easter on the Beach"! We had a low key day with a walk to the park for Cash and dinner on the Avenue.

As you can see I get a ton of use out of this chic bamboo bag. It literally goes with everything and I get compliments on it all the time! You need this bag for Spring and Summer!

As we wound down Easter eve, I couldn't help but think about the things I am most thankful for, and this time spent with family was at the top of my list!
