Warm Weather. Finally!

-

Naturally, it is gorgeous in Charlotte this weekend and I chalk that up to the fact that I left for Florida yesterday. You're welcome Queen City.

Dallas, Cash and I are on spring break this coming week, so we hopped a flight to see my Mom in Fort Lauderdale.

This spring look, however, is perfect for Florida or North Carolina on a weekend like this. I know I'm not alone when I say that I am excited to pull out tee shirts, maxi skirts, and sandals... FINALLY!

Although this blush sequin maxi is sold out, I found a couple sizes left on eBay. It is originally from Anthropologie so be sure to size down as I think most of their stuff runs a little big.

This "After Me" french inspired tee is also from Anthro and has limited stock but it is on SALE. This tee does run TTS.

Waking up to the warm breeze of the ocean and the sound of the waves is exactly what I need to recharge my batteries. I can not wait to spend this week in the sun.

Weekend Warm & Fuzzies

-

If we think warm thoughts, will spring get here sooner? At this point, I'll try anything!

It seems like we're in for another week of gloomy weather but after that, it looks like sunshine and puppy dogs! (Here's to hoping!)

In the interim, I wanted to share this adorable faux fur jacket from She + Sky! I'm been meaning to post about this fuzzy shaw for a while now and you may have seen it from time to time on my Instagram but now is the perfect time to snag this look for spring transition.

Obviously, Mother Nature hates us and she isn't done wearing it out. Thus, why not be cute and prepared for a 30-degree swing in weather!?! I pair this chic jacket with everything and I know you will love it!

The suede lace up top is also another piece I'm pretty fond of and it's on SALE! Whether you wear them together or as separates you'll be right on trend! I threw on my favorite Valentino pumps and handbag with these pieces. Great for girls night out in Charlotte or NYC!

Flag Update: Dallas's flag was found! I feel bad because I pretty much harassed Fedex until someone could help me.

If you know me, you know my motto. If the answer is "no" I'm either not asking the right question or you're not the right person.

Unfortunately, there was some pretty extensive damage to the flag upon delivery. I assume that happened when the box it was shipped in fell apart. Never the less, I am grateful for the two women from the Fort Mill distribution center who went above and beyond to help me locate the package.

I have a call out to the manufacturer this weekend to see where we go from here. I'll keep you posted because it is a BEAUTIFUL piece and I can't wait to share photos of it with you once it is fixed.

Until then, Happy Shopping!

Okay Winter! We Get It!

-

Okay, winter! We get it!

Geez, this weather is the BIGGEST tease. One day it's 70 and sunny and the next four days are yucky and rainy with the occasional snowflake. I'm over it!

This chill in the air has me so down and the news I got yesterday from Fedex is making it even worse. About two and a half months ago I ordered Dallas a custom wooden American Flag for his birthday. It was supposed to be the latest addition to our man room and he could not wait for it to arrive. Well, sadly it was lost and/or broken in transit because Fedex can't give me any kind of update!

Yesterday a very nice delivery man attempted to deliver a board to which I stopped him and asked where the rest of the package was? Pointing out that it is listed as a 75lbs package and the flimsy board on my porch was about .75 ounces. He apologized and assured me that I would have an update before the end of the day via phone.

Well, as you can imagine the end of the day came and went, so today I started to hunt down anyone who could help me. After speaking to three very unhelpful and unpleasant individuals at the Fedex call center I finally received a call from a very sweet woman from the distribution center who also, unfortunately, came up empty-handed.

I'm not sure where we go from here but at least my outfit is on point today. Changing gears to something positive, this leather jacket and white tee is perfect for today's weather.

This adorable BB Dakota jacket and necklace are from Page 6 in Baxter Village. The white tee and black jeans are two basics you should have in your closet (I tied the tee up for a little texture) and these fun white booties are from Fabrik Birkdale.

See there is always a silver lining on a rainy day.

Sundress Sunday

-

Happy Sunday! I hope you are ponied up to a good Bloody Mary Bar and Sunday Funday is in full force. We're in the middle of March Madness so there is beer to drink and (friendly) bets to make.

March Madness has been one BIG heartbreak for me this year. My bracket was broken before it even started. My Virginia Tech Hokies lost to Alabama in the first round and now that the University of Virginia and the University North Carolina are out my whole bracket is busted.

I know I wasn't alone by taking UVA all the way...and they burned us!

That's where a cute pair of shoes and a great sundress come in. They will always make you feel better! Sadly though, this look still reminds me of my broken bracket since it's Gator colors and the University of Florida is also done. I'll choose my colors more wisely next time!

Regardless of color, this sundress really is the perfect look. Vertical stripes always elongate and pockets are definitely a plus! It is true to size (TTS) as I am wearing a small. Bonus points because it is still long enough for someone 5'8" like me.

Normally, I'm not a big fan of "kitten heels" but who can say no to a pair of Valentinos? I feel like this heel height with the block heel and strappy Rockstuds straps read more of a "gladiator sandal" anyway.

This style/brand runs 3 different versions of this dress. All of which are available below.

Rose' & Shine

-

This sweatshirt is my current mood! Rose' And Shine... although maybe it should say Champagne And Shine after yesterday's news.

As some of you know my "nine to five job" is really "4am to noon" because I do a morning radio show here in Charlotte, NC. Maney, Roy & I have been together for a little over three years now and our current contracts expired in February of this year. Which is a little scary because we knew getting to this point would decide our future here in the queen city. Luckily, we have an amazing support team at work, who have always believed in us and for some odd reason, they want to keep our silly show around. Thus, it is with great pride I tell you that we have signed a long-term deal to stay here in Charlotte with our current station!

I feel like I am still on cloud nine!

A lot has happened in the past three years and we have had our fair share of heartbreaks but looking back I have so much to be thankful for. A beautiful son, a husband I couldn't live without, our health and a job that I absolutely LOVE! Really, what more could I ask for?

How about a glass of Rose' to celebrate?

Pretty In Pink

-

Monday's Motto: Hustle for all of the pink!

I have been a little under the weather lately and it has been hard for me to get motivated now that I am feeling better. It has been the hardest transition back to the land of the living after a weekend of being cooped up in the house.

Luckily, my brother and I share this quote with each other when we need a little motivation in our lives. "Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work harder." It's something our Father instilled in us from an early age. If you want it, go and get it, no one is going to hand it to you.

So here I am, getting back to work and sharing this look with all of you! It is my favorite bodysuit of the season and I paired it with my favorite high waisted denim leggings. We shot this looking in NYC at Fashion Week so I threw on my favorite (and inexpensive) sandals and my Hermes belt that I picked up on The Real Real.

I think you'll enjoy this dressy casual look for so many occasions.
